Braided Spaghetti Bread

I love trying new recipes and this week I came across a new family favorite.  I seen the recipe on pinterest and the original recipe comes from the Rhodes Bake N Serv Blog.  So if you would like to see the original recipe you can do so by clicking here.

It was really quite simple.

After thawing and allowing my Rhodes frozen bread loaf to rise, I rolled it out into a rectangle (approximately 12x16 inches).

I let it "rest" while I made my spaghetti.  I made it just like I normally would.
When the spaghetti was finished I scooped it onto the rectangle.  Right down the middle and added a generous sprinkling of mozerella cheese.  I used shredded, but you could also use cubed.  After that I got my pizza cutter and cut strips on each side of the rectangle.  Make sure you have the same amount of strips on both sides.
Now for the fun part!  Start braiding.  One side over, then the next.  Simple as can be!  After you get it all braided, brush the top of it with egg whites and sprinkle with garlic salt.
Pop it in the oven at 350 until it's brown and then slice and enjoy!

What will I do different next time?  Next time I will roll my dough out on parchment paper.  When I transferred my spaghetti filled bread to the pan it started ripping in the middle (as you can see in the pic).  I'm sure the parchment paper would make it much easier to transfer.

I think this would be a great use for left over spaghetti!
